Michael J. Fox was born Michael Andrew
Fox on the 9th of June of the year 1961, in Edmonton, Canada.
He's the 4th kid of a 5 kid family. His mother, Phyllis, a
former actress, was then a payroll clerk and his father was
a general in the Canadian army. The family was constantly
moving from town to town. Michael was friends with everyone
where he went, he didn't have much success with girls but
he was a very open child. He became very soon a fan of guitars
and rock n' roll. He played Stones and Zeppelin songs in a
small bans called "Halex". He also was and still
is, as many Canadians, crazy about hockey. But he was too
small and many teams refused him. Then he tried and loved
theatre, his extrovert attitude helped him in his success.
He began in high school and one of is teachers found a part
for him on TV: the part of Jamie, a ten year old kid in the
Canadian series "Leo and Me" (1976): Michael was
15! But the fact that he looks younger than his age will help
him in his career. The show was successful and Michael got
small roles in other Canadian shows. Actors whom he worked
with, advised him to try to get his chance in Hollywood, so
did he.
